Alessandra Teresa Cignarella is a postdoctoral researcher in Computational Linguistics at the University of Turin. Her research interests mainly involve the development of methodologies for the study of figurative language such as irony, the creation of annotated corpora, the study of inclusive language and stereotypes related to ethnicity, gender and other vulnerable categories, by taking into consideration a cross-lingual and cross-cultural perspective. She is an active contributor of the Universal Dependencies community, and a member of the Joint Committee for Equal Opportunity of the University of Turin (Comitato Unico di Garanzia - CUG). In previous editions of EVALITA she co-organized of the task of Irony Detection in Italian tweets (IronITA 2018), and the task of Stance Detection in Italian Tweets (SardiStance 2020).
